Our Philosophy
There's too much stuff on the planet. Don't get me wrong, there are beautiful things among us, but with so many beautiful things out there, why do we continue to consume new?

I'm a curator of beautiful, interesting, unique, used things. I hunt for them in second-hand stores, garage and estate sales, blue bins, flea markets and wherever else they may be hiding. And I rescue them.
​
Some of these treasures were headed to the landfill. But I found them and when you purchase them, not only will you help fund additional rescues, but you will become part of these treasures' story.
Amy's Story
My Gramma and my Aunt Beth passed down a love for old things. From as far back as I can remember, we would take road trips which always included learning the history of a place and discovering things from the past. I wasn't the typical kid who would get bored walking through an antique shop. I wanted to know what things were, how tools were used, how things were made, and if they didn't know, we'd find someone to ask. The hunger for knowledge has only grown with me.
As a Creative Director I have a background in art and design. When people say "you have an eye" I think my respect for old things combined with my personal and professional history of art are what give me the talent to curate the unique things you will find here at YOSOBOHO & Other Rescued Treasures.

Pricing & Shipping
Establishing pricing and determine how to ship for a privately owned online boutique is a BIG challenge. Many of these items are one of a kind finds that aren't easily valued so we take into consideration how much it was purchased for and then create a fair markup that covers all sourcing, website posting, packaging/handling and shipping costs.

Some things DO have comparable sales on eBay or other sites that we can use to help establish a price. You will see, if you are price comparing, that our prices are most often lower than anything you'll find on eBay or other sites especially when you factor in shipping.

Every item in this shop has been estimated for flat rate USPS shipping and that cost (pouch, small, medium, or large box) has already been added to the cost of the item. So when you check out there will be no surprises!

If you are buying more than one item that will ship together, please contact me, or expect a small refund for the bundled shipping cost!
