This Satsuma Moriage vase has two scenes on this vase that are nicely detailed and include a dagon that extends through both scenes/sides. They have raised or relief buddhist immortal figures, cobalt blue background with gold highlights and an applied raised moriage decoration. Very intricate details and no chips or cracks.
Moriage is a type of raised decoration where pieces of clay were shaped by hand and layered onto a piece or squeezed from a tube like frosting. Moriage pieces were often unmarked and known for their highly stylized decorations and gilding.

Please look at the information and photos carefully as I will disclose any known issues or defects in the products I sell. These are unique pre-owned items that aren't always 100% flawless. When it comes to vintage and antiquities, sometimes the imperfections or patina show the age of a piece and make it that much more special.
With that said, if something is really wrong with a piece, like your cat figurine had a tail in the image but didn't show up with a tail, or if I don't pack it well (which I promise to try!) and it comes in a million pieces, of course, I will give you a refund. I want to keep you happy and coming back to shop for more rescued treasures!
Please feel free to email me at amy@yosoboho.com with any refund questions. I may simply ask for photos if your item shows up damaged so I can refund.
Also, you can cancel your order any time prior to shipping.
And finally, I hope you cherish your purchase for life, but if you decide down the road that your rescued treasure no longer fits your aesthetic, please consider donating it to an organization that uses its proceeds to help people!
Every item in this shop - depending on its size - has been estimated for flat rate USPS shipping and that cost (pouch, small, medium, or large box) has already been added to the cost of the item. So when you check out there will be no surprises!
